Well I did not have Edmondo in place for my class last Thursday. I did however a great class had with teaching students about databases. I think what they learned was awesome. Usually I guide students to follow pathfinders to locate specific information. What I was trying to plan in Edmondo, was having the students in my small group choose two different sources of information and write down how they located the information, step by step, to write facts about it to share with the class. This way the students totally learned what they wanted to and used different resources.

I am going to look at other social learning tool because by the time I set up the class and project the days when I see those students has passed. I will also be looking at other people’s posts about this topic.

 I am finding it a bit challenging to use Edmondo but I am still working on it and plan on trying it this week. I changed my original plan to do something different which I find more interesting for the students. I am slowly learning how to use it. The class I will be working with is always willing to try new things.

I just looked briefly at  Schoology as a student. At first glance it seemed basic but after taking the quiz (which I hope I passed) it seemed to have a lot of possibilities for using it with my students. My next step is creating a teacher acount and try it out on a few students.
